Acceptable Use.
Last updated: 14 October 2026. Applies to every agency and person using BrainVI.
BrainVI is for coordinating a response
Use it to get the right people and systems to act on an incident, under your agency's written policy, with a person accountable for each decision the policy reserves for people.
You may not use BrainVI to
- identify a person from their face or appearance, except through a capability your agency's counsel has enabled for an open case, as the law and your agreement allow;
- keep a standing watch on a person, or track people across cameras outside an open case;
- infer a person's emotions, beliefs, health, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or political views;
- monitor lawful protest, religious practice, journalism or other protected activity;
- take enforcement action against a person based only on a BrainVI observation or forecast, without a person's review;
- bypass, weaken or disable a policy gate, an approval step, the receipt chain or a jurisdiction setting;
- break any law, including surveillance, privacy and civil-rights law, that applies where you operate.
If you see misuse
